The water lily plant which as we know, grows and thrives in water, is the great protagonist of this metal composition. In this case we find a stylised example, an idea of a water lily as an aquatic plant that brings out various leaves and flowers on the surface. The elements are many, also considering the size of the work ( 136 cm by 60 cm ), and rest on a frame of golden threads that follow different undulations, as if they were moved by the flow of a river that determines the different ripples but the same undulation.
Flowers and leaves show delicacy and lightness, as if they were floating on the frame. The first ones, the flowers, are smaller and concave, grooved to give the realistic effect of a petal. The leaves are wider and all perforated, a pattern that is repeated for each of them.
The main colours are grey and silver, even if gold is present throughout the frame and in the border of each element of the composition. As you can see from the demonstration photos, the orientation of the artwork hung on the wall can be either vertical or horizontal, or even oblique. The main colours are grey and silver, even if gold is present throughout the frame and in the border of each element of the composition.
