When abstractionism meets geometry, artworks such as this one are created, where a sequence of triangles is repeated in various sizes, shapes and colours. The prevailing colours are grey, creamy white, milk white and various shades of brown up to a rather dark gold colour. The lines of some triangles extend and intersect with others in an increasingly inextricable weave.
This work reproduces one of the most popular subjects of ADM's catalogue of textured paintings in acrylic on Plexiglas, a technique that revisits the ancient art of under-glass painting with modern materials: the result is equally exciting as a visual effect and the painting is less fragile and heavy than the original version.
A room with neutral furnishings is the most suitable to welcome the range of colours of the painting.
