A voluptuous female figure is seated with her legs close to her chest and a hand raised to her forehead, assuming a meditation pose: this small resin sculpture, sometimes hermetic, is striking due to the simplicity of its lines and, at the same time, its expressiveness, making it impossible for the viewer not to wonder what thoughts are going through the mind of the depicted subject.
In this work there is a clear contrast between the lower part of the body, with its generous, feminine legs and thighs, and the upper part, where a slim and slender bust ideally continues in the long arms and tapered neck. The face of this woman is an enigma: the smooth surface, without eyes, nose and mouth, does not reveal the subject's emotions, communicating a sense of suspension and vagueness.
The soft, sensual volumes of the figure are further enhanced by the lacquered, red-dyed coating of the sculpture, which almost seems to shine with its own light.
