This composition is made entirely of metal and was made by hand through artisan techniques. The unique protagonist is the hot air balloon, which we find in different sizes and colours. The shape is almost always the same, an inflated, airy balloon ending in a stylised basket at the bottom. These are carved metal sheets that were first coloured and then engraved on the balloon and the basket not only to add realistic detail to the composition but also to bring out the metal core of the artwork.
The wall sculpture consists of 17 hot air balloons of various sizes, in its entirety it is 92 cm high and.48 cm. wide. As the work is a hot air balloon, it needs to be placed vertically to be fully enjoyed.
The glossy colouring is the distinctive feature of the composition, each hot air balloon is in fact satin-finished. The colours are yellow, blue, magenta, red, green in two shades and pink. Given the fantasy and the presence of this polychromy, the artwork is particularly suitable for decorating children's rooms, but also to revitalise more serious and formal environments with a playful touch.
