Un quadro in metallo realizzato totalmente a mano con tecniche artigianali. The protagonist of this artwork is the city, or rather its skyline which was represented here with a raw and industrial style. Each building was built with a sheet of metal, the colours range from bronze to brass with some dark red touches. The shapes appear rough, outside the concept of clean lines of modern skyscrapers. Just look at the windows, which are coarse holes; rather than windows they are real holes and slots.
What we see is the idea of an industrial city, with its thick grain, a fascinating environment that has its own distinct connotation. Together with the feeling of the metropolis, we also find the idea of the city as something in a constant process of construction, given by the frame on which the thin layers of metal of the buildings rest. This painting depicts stylised scaffoldings, occasionally loading cranes working tirelessly to extend the metal giant.
Due to its size and shape, this wall sculpture can furnish a wall with its mere presence. The colours with which it is composed make it quite versatile for matching the furniture, even if the darker colours are definitely the most suitable as a counterbalance.
