We present a pop art style sculpture of a crocodile while it is opening its jaws. White, totally white but also available in a bright red colour but always in solid colour. Made entirely of lacquered resin, the surface of the sculpture appears shiny, the animal's anatomy is inspired by nature, it is a completely neo-realistic artwork. The dimensions of the crocodile, which rests on its body ergo it has no base, are 22 cm high, 50 cm long and 17 cm thick. Note the plentiful detail, all clearly visible, which reaches its maximum in the rendering of the crocodile's skin, in its dorsal scales and in the folds of its long and powerful tail.
An example of strength and resistance, the crocodile is one of the most ruthless predators in the animal kingdom and the pressure of its bite is second to none. This animal was dear to the ancient Egyptians, who provided an accurate and varied description of its symbolism. The crocodile that inhabited the waters of the Nile river was associated with ferocity and rage, probably because of the attacks on its preys, but also with abundance and fertility, which for the Egyptians depended on the flooding of the Nile, a river of which the crocodile has always been the undisputed king.
