The Amazons, the queens of war. According to ancient history studies, these women lived in the Caucasus region, in the Scythia era, and many Hellenic mythology tales are dedicated to them. One of the legends speaks of women without their right breast whose growth was stopped at an early age so that they could draw their bows with greater strength and ease. We mention this anecdote because this sculpture in some way refers to this legend. It depicts the bust of a woman, almost in a surrealist style, of which only the lower half of the face and one breast are visible. The right part is enveloped in an armour of sorts the reminds of a warrior woman.
This sculpture is in lacquered resin with a mirror effect on the armour. It is handmade with artisan techniques, and the base that adds height to the artwork is in marble. The dimensions are: H 50 x W 24 x D 10 cm. The artwork is available in four different colours, but the armour section is always in focus. The clean lines and the simplicity of the contrasts make this sculpture versatile and suitable for various types of environments and perfect in a living room such as the one shown in the pictures.
