A naked man in black is kneeling on the ground with his right arm stretched upwards, towards the sky, praying. It is a posture that is halfway between stretching and a yoga pose, but it is also a posture that represents pain, torment and despair for a situation that can only be resolved with help from Above.
In addition to a strong meaning in allegorical terms we can also appreciate the beauty of the shape of this sculpture. The man is shown with a slim and perfect body, his legs are the base of a triangle ending in the palm of his hand, a perfect geometric composition.
