The face of an abstract man, barely sketched, who brings his index finger close to his lips and opens them just enough to understand that he is asking for a moment of silence. Almost all the features of the face are recognisable, but the top of the forehead, the end of the shape of the eyes and the entire back of the skull disappear. Somehow it is as if the face were immersed in a mirror of water, just enough to observe underwater life without getting the hair wet. This sculpture seems to remind of a more peaceful and calm aspect of domestic life. As if once back in our living room after a long day we could rely on it and its nod that restores silence and our life.
This sculpture was made entirely of white lacquered resin which gives it a shiny touch. It is a work of surrealist inspiration. The work was made entirely by hand and this is confirmed by a certificate of craftsmanship that comes with the artwork. The dimensions of this small face sculpture are 48 cm high, 16 cm wide and 14 cm thick. Given the neutral colours of this artwork, it will fit perfectly with any furnishing style.
